Life... During Our Slowdown!

La vie est belle!

That's right.... Life is Good! Everyone in our house is happy and healthy. There is no snow on the ground. We are week one into a three week stretch of no 8th grade sporting events to go to (which is the longest free time span we've had in three years!). The kids got to enjoy their grandparents yesterday so us parents could enjoy a night out (even though it was business-related). And today should provide good enough weather for a trip to the zoo and a picnic lunch before Dalton's baseball practice.

Another Sports Season Has Ended :(

Well... it has been a bittersweet weekend. Middle School basketball has officially come to an end. We all had such a good time watching Dalton play this year. Though it is not his best sport (as he will readily tell you), he has become pretty good at reading the opposition and reacting accordingly on the court. Here is a handful of our favorite pictures from the end of the 2010-2011 Eighth Grade basketball season.

I so hope the girls like sports as much as their big brothers have. Next up... Tomorrow starts Dalton's High School enrollment process. Then comes track starting two weeks later... and baseball games should start in March, too! (He's been practicing for over a month now). Hope the weather holds up and we really do end up with the predicted "early" spring.
