I told you updates were coming... So let me start with our title reference:) Tony and I decided in early November that we needed to start looking for a family pet. We got stuck on the idea of a beagle puppy and have been looking for one ever since. The problem has been that all we could find were either adult beagles or puppies selling for way more than we wanted to devote. Well, this weekend we found a Reverend who was blessed with two litters for the price of one (both of his females had puppies the same day). Hence, the arrival of our newest family member... a beautiful beagle pup we have named Fallon (pronounced "fa-lynn"). He is so cute and doesn't lack one bit of attention with our four kids around.
In other news, the weather Saturday turned out exactly as we had anticipated. So off we went to the park... which was packed by the time we left. I guess everyone else had the same thought for spending a Saturday outdoors with the kids:)
Emmalie has now succeeded in reading her second book! She's starting to really soak up her "sight words" and it is getting much easier for her to sound out other words by knowing those. And Bethanie can now count to 17 (don't know why such an odd number) without any slip-ups. It is so funny to watch her because she'll roll her eyes like she's really trying to remember as she counts... TOO FUNNY!
Dalton finished basketball last weekend. They ended up losing out in their post-season tournament, but tied for first place in the league regular season games. He's actually out celebrating the end of the season with the rest of his team right now! Dalton is now focusing back on baseball... wait, I don't think he ever stopped playing or practicing for baseball yet:) He's also seriously considering running short distance and relay for track. (Tony and I won't be experiencing any free time soon, huh?!).
For our closing update...
As some of you may recall, Devin submitted his first movie script for film studio reviews last summer. He has had some "bites" and great feedback. They told him it would take some time for formal review of his long script. A studio based in Hollywood has been talking with Devin and he has been granted his first screenplay "pitch" to their team via conference call later in the week. Devin is sooooo excited!
Well, that is about it for updates from the land of ladybugs and bulldogs. We hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day... and Happy Belated Birthday to Mom Haag, our lovely niece Bennette, Mom Armstrong, and our other brother Johnny!
